Sport Equipment Manufacturer Benz Becomes a National Supplier of the 12th IAAF World Championships in Athletics berlin 2009™

The Gotthilf Benz Turngerätefabrik GmbH & Co. KG becomes a National Supplier for the area of sports equipment for the 12th IAAF World Championships in Athletics berlin 2009™. The southern German sports equipment manufacturer has partnered with athletics for years and has already played an important role supporting the World Championships in Stuttgart in 1993.

Gunter Benz, the owner of Benz, gave a brief overview of its involvement with berlin 2009™: “We are pleased to be able to support this excellent sports event in our home country again after the World Championships in Stuttgart in 1993 and the European Championships in Munich in 2002. We hope that our products help spur the athletes on to top performances.”

In close cooperation between Benz and the World Championships' Organising Committee, a special design was created for the equipment to be used during the World Championships with the quality made possible through Benz’s years of experience making excellent sports equipment. Benz has been represented as a strong partner at numerous top athletics events for years. With the assistance of its experts during the World Championships in Athletics, it will again be setting new technological standards with its competition equipment.
