Area of the training camp
The city of Duisburg has 500,000 inhabitants and lies in between the Ruhr and Rhine Rivers. The two guesthouses are located south of Duisburg in the suburb called Duisburg-Wedau - a popular recreation area where the 2005 World Games took place.
You can reach the brand-new training facilities in one minute by foot.

Accommodations
There are two guesthouses available.
The first one has 51 beds in 23 double and 5 single rooms, some with individual bathroom/shower.
The other guesthouse offers 35 beds in 7 single and 14 double rooms with showers and WCs. Both accommodations are just a stone’s throw away from the trainings facilities.

Medical facilities
The University Hospital Duisburg with its special accident surgery section is just 1.5 km from the training facilities. It supported the Italian national football team during the FIFA World Cup 2006.

International cuisine
The guesthouses offer a breakfast buffet. A catering service provides for lunch and dinner. The catering service will do its best to accommodate all of your wishes.

Leisure time arrangements
There is a huge recreational area with many small lakes called the Six Lake District near the accommodations and training facilities in Duisburg-Wedau. Here you can enjoy various water sports such as swimming, sailing, diving, surfing, etc. There are also numerous running, cycling and horse riding trails in the spacious woodlands surrounding the district Wedau. A public swimming pool, a water ski facility and an ice rink is located adjacent to the training facilities. The Duisburg Zoo is embedded in a countryside park with huge outdoor enclosures for nearly 3,000 mostly endangered animals.
 
Cultural programme
Duisburg has one of the biggest inland river ports worldwide. It is a famous hangout for young and old alike, with lots of bars, and you also can take part in a small cruise around the harbour or enjoy a visit to the navy museum.
There are also several cinemas, theatres and ballet theatres in Duisburg.
