Leisure time arrangements
The rejuvenated Schlachte promenade on the Weser River with its wealth of trendy bars, friendly cafes, international restaurants and outdoor seating for some 2,000 people provides an attraction for almost two million visitors each year, including a pancake ship, the three-masted frigate Admiral Nelson and a replica cog ship, which typifies a Hanseatic vessel from 13th and 14th centuries. The pedestrian areas along miles of waterfront promenades and the generous areas of parkland are inviting tracks for running and cycling.

Cultural programme
There is plenty to see and do in the historic city centre of Bremen, with its sights, lively pub and restaurant scene as well as extensive parks and recreation areas, including the delightful sculpture of the Bremen Town Musicians, which remains a defining monument for the Brothers Grimm celebrated fairy tale.
There are also lots of museums, art collections and theatres in Bremen, such as the German Maritime Museum, the Bremer Kunsthalle or the Bremen Theatre Ship.
