Leisure time arrangements |
The rejuvenated Schlachte promenade on the Weser River with its wealth of trendy bars, friendly cafes, international restaurants and outdoor seating for some 2,000 people provides an attraction for almost two million visitors each year, including a pancake ship, the three-masted frigate Admiral Nelson and a replica cog ship, which typifies a Hanseatic vessel from 13th and 14th centuries.
The pedestrian areas along miles of waterfront promenades and the generous areas of parkland are inviting tracks for running and cycling.
